Telus Collaboration

We have partnered with a call center called Telus in Guatemala City. One of our students, Jenny, was accepted into the Hope program at Telus where she was given English classes eight hours a day. After she completes the program our prayer is that she will be offered a job at Telus We are hoping that more of the students from our classes will be able to participate in this program in the future.

Telus also rented a bus and came and picked up all the kids in our program last October and took them to their building to celebrate Dia del Nino. (Day of the Child) The children watched a movie in the call center’s theater and enjoyed a cake provided for them. This was a GREAT experience because all of the children were able to see the possibilities that learning English can provide for them. They CAN have a brighter future!

Telus does community outreach programs, and they sent volunteers to paint the outside of some of the homes of the families that we work with in zone 3. They donated their time and all the supplies for this project.
